A woman suspected of streaming more than 50 live sex shows online from two branches of the Windsor Public Library was arrested today in Windsor, Ont.
She turned herself in at the Windsor Police Service headquarters at 7 a.m. Friday. She faces one count of performing indecent acts. She was arrested and released on a promise to appear in court. She has yet to make a court appearance.
Police are not releasing her name. CBC News has identified the woman in the graphic videos. She's a 21-year-old from the Windsor area.
The arrest came just days after a CBC News investigation discovered more than 50 videos were streamed live and recorded from the Riverside and Fontainebleau branches over a three-month span.
The first video appeared to be streamed in November of last year. The most recent one was evidently streamed in January.
The videos show a model using the screen name "lilsecrett" flashing, masturbating and using sex toys in the library, sometimes with unsuspecting library users, including kids, nearby.
She appears to be using her own camera-equipped laptop computer, rather than computers in the library.
The videos remain archived and for sale online.
