VANCOUVER - Transit Police in Metro Vancouver are investigating a possible connection between two alleged sex assaults on the Canada Line SkyTrain.
Spokeswoman Anne Drennan says a woman reported being groped on a crowded train at around 7:20 a.m. Friday near Bridgeport Station in Richmond, B.C.
Drennan says the young woman came forward to Transit Police after seeing media reports of a similar incident that allegedly occurred the day before.
In Friday's incident, Drennan says the suspect moved behind the victim and groped her leg and buttocks until she exited the train at Broadway-City Hall Station in Vancouver.
Transit Police had earlier issued a news release asking a young woman to come forward, after a witness saw her being groped on the Canada Line on Thursday morning and posted a photo of the alleged assault on Facebook.
That young woman has not spoken to police, and Drennan says investigators are still looking into whether there is a connection between the incidents.
