Sam Simon, 'Simpsons' Co-Founder, Dies At 59

TMZ is reporting that Matt Groening's right-hand man and "The Simpsons" co-founder/producer, Sam Simon, has lost his battle with terminal colon cancer. He was 59.

Simon reportedly died at his Los Angeles home on Sunday.TMZ says that he died with his family and his dog by his side.

Simon famously pledged his entire fortune -- millions of dollars made from "The Simpsons" success -- to PETA, Save the Children and his eponymous foundation, which feeds more than 400 hungry families a day in Los Angeles.
