St-Leonard apartment building fire leaves 3 injured

More than 100 firefighters are battling a fire in Montreal's St-Leonard borough this morning.

The building is a three-storey apartment block on Bélanger Street near Lacordaire Boulevard.

Police closed Bélanger between Lacordaire and Lienart as a result of the fire.

Luc Galarneau, chief of operations for the Montreal fire department, says the first unit arriving on scene called immediately for backup and set to work getting everyone out.

Three people suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.
