There's another "100 Years Of Beauty" (yes, another one) and it's two times as cool as the others!
In their most recent installment of the series, Cut looks at the beauty evolution of Korean woman, from 1910 to 2010. Like the videos that came before it, we see a model getting her hair and makeup done in styles reflective of the various decades, but when the video reaches 1950, things get a little different.
Instead of focusing on just single beauty looks, the video splits into two screens, in order to showcase the styles from each decade in both North and South Korea. The differences between the looks are quite striking, with South Korean women leaning towards a westernized beauty ideal, and North Korean women focusing on a defeminized, masculine style.
As the time passes, we see the beauty looks shift even more, but it's evident that South Korean beauty trends were generally very feminine, while North Korea kept things conservative and understated (for the most part).
To check out the entire Korean beauty evolution, just watch the video above!
