Leafs' Nazem Kadri suspended 4 games for head shot

The NHL has suspended Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri for four games for his hit to the head of the Oilers' Matt Fraser.

Kadri received a two-minute minor penalty for the hit, which happened during Monday's 4-1 loss in Edmonton.

Fraser was helped off the ice and did not return to the game. He was diagnosed with a concussion.

Kadri is a repeat offender under league rules, as he was suspended three games last season for a hit to the head of Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom.

Kadri was playing in his second game since returning from a team-issued three-game hiatus for off-ice behaviour.
