Toronto police closed a section of Eglinton Avenue West, near Keele Street, to deal with a sinkhole overnight Thursday.
City crews responded to the scene at Eglinton and Kane Avenues and were working to fix the roadway throughout the morning rush hour. One worker wore a harness as he operated a piece of heavy machinery at the sinkhole site.
Another sinkhole was reported less than three kilometres away last week near the Eglinton West subway station.
The city hasn't said what is causing the issues with the roadway.
