University of Toronto's president's office vandalized overnight

A prominent University of Toronto building was vandalized overnight, leaving campus officials struggling to find out who spray painted the word "shame" on Simcoe Hall.

Simcoe Hall houses the university president's office as well as the office of the governing council. On Friday morning, police tape cordoned off the entrance to the building and at least one Toronto police officer was seen investigating.

U of T officials haven't commented on the vandalism at this time.

Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 3902 have been on strike for two weeks at the university, though the teaching assistants and other employees the union represents are set to vote on a tentative agreement later this afternoon.
