Northern Alberta bus driver charged in crash that killed two, injured more

FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. - An Alberta bus driver has been charged with dangerous driving and criminal negligence causing death after a crash last fall that killed two people and seriously injured several more.

Kaliappan Subramaniam was driving eight workers to a jobsite near Fort McMurray on Oct. 28, 2014, when his northbound bus collided with a southbound Jeep.

Two men in the Jeep were killed and several on the bus injured.

The crash happened on Highway 63.
