Food powder causes concern at Canada Post office, U of T

Two separate incidents of white powder being found in the mail in Toronto on Thursday turned out to be non-dangerous.

A Canada Post worker at the post office at Progress and Midland avenues came into contact with an unknown white substance in a package. The powder spilled onto the postal worker's arm, creating a hot sensation. He has since been checked out at hospital and cleared.

Police say It does not look serious and they think it may be a food product

In a separate incident, an envelope with white powder that was found in a building on the University of Toronto campus may have been glitter.
