Jared Boll, Blue Jackets forward, suspended 3 games

The NHL on Thursday suspended Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jared Boll for three games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Anaheim Ducks forward Patrick Maroon.

The incident occurred at 4:02 of the second period of a game on Tuesday night in Columbus.

Based on his average annual salary, Boll forfeits $27,419 US to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
