Alberta RCMP say woman found dead left stuck vehicle for help but didn't find it

EVANSBURG, Alta. - Mounties say a woman reported missing earlier this month has been found dead on a little-used road west of Edmonton.

Roze (ROSE) Burke, who was 68, was reported missing from Red Deer County on March 13.

Her vehicle was spotted last Friday during an air search south of Evansburg.

Mounties believe Burke’s vehicle became stuck and she left the vehicle to seek help.

RCMP found her small dog at the scene and he has been reunited with the woman’s family.
