Spooner scores twice in Canada's 6-2 win over Finland in women's hockey

MALMO, Sweden - Natalie Spooner scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Canada to a 6-2 win over Finland at the women's world hockey championship Tuesday.Canada wrapped up the preliminary round with a 2-1 record in Pool A. The United States went 3-0 in the same pool with a 9-2 win over Russia.Canada and the U.S. both secured byes to Friday's semifinal round.Brigette Lacquette, Jennifer Wakefield, Courtney Birchard and Emily Clark also scored for Canada. Captain Jenni Hiirikoski countered with a pair of goals for Finland.Genevieve Lacasse stopped 15 of 17 shots for the win. Finnish counterpart Eveliina Suonpaa made 23 saves in the loss.
