Canadian rugby international Ryan Hamilton retires, citing school and injuries

TORONTO - Canadian rugby international Ryan Hamilton has announced his retirement.The 26-year-old hooker cited the demands of law school and injuries, including concussions, sustained while playing.Hamilton won 17 caps for Canada, playing all four games in the 2011 Rugby World Cup.Hamilton made nine more appearances for Canada after the World Cup and spent six months in New Zealand in 2013, playing on a tryout with Taranaki for the ITM Cup.Hamilton played for Canada against Namibia in Wales in 2014 before deciding that continuing injury problems were no longer allowing him to play at his best.
