Penguins' Chris Kunitz sparks chaos in game against Flyers

It was no surprise that tempers boiled over in the season's final meeting between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

In the third period of a fairly tame match, Pittsburgh forward Chris Kunitz wound up for an empty-net shot after the whistle had gone.

The 35-year-old violated one of hockey's unwritten rules with the play. Bad move.

The Flyers responded just the way one would expect, as every player on the ice rushed Kunitz and a moment of chaos ensued.

The only players penalized on the scrum were Philadelphia's top forwards Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek. The captain sat for a minor roughing charge, while Voracek received a 10-minute misconduct.

The Flyers ultimately had the last laugh with a 4-1 victory to sweep their season series.
