All classes are cancelled at Capilano University as of 7 a.m. PT Wednesday until further notice due to faculty strike action, the university has announced.

All campuses, including North Vancouver, Squamish and Sunshine Coast are affected.

The Capilano Faculty Association has told the university it will "withdraw all services and establish picket lines," according to an update on the university's website.

"The university is developing contingency measures in order to ensure students can successfully complete their courses and programs, keeping as close to the original schedule as is feasible," the university wrote.

"Final exams are expected to proceed as scheduled."

In North Vancouver, some campus services, including the doctor's office and library, will remain open. On-campus daycare will be closed if there are picket lines, the university has advised.
