CÉGEP du Vieux Montréal votes again on strike

Students at CÉGEP du Vieux Montreal are voting today on whether to continue with their boycott of classes after a controversial day of voting earlier this week.

This will be the fourth vote this week.

Students concerned with process

More than 2,000 students attended a vote on Tuesday. In two show-of-hands votes, students rejected boycotting classes.

A third vote was held after calls for a recount. That vote resulted in the students boycotting class.

"There is something wrong," said CÉGEP student Oona Avery-Jeannin. "They should have just decided by the first vote that the decision has been made and we continue on with our studies. The assembly was overwhelming, it was long."

More than 300 people signed a petition asking that another vote be held.
