One dead, another injured after house explodes in northeastern Toronto

TORONTO - An explosion has killed one person, injured another and levelled a house in northeastern Toronto.Paramedics say a man was pulled from the rubble of the house following the Monday afternoon blast and pronounced dead on the scene.Toronto EMS duty officer Danny Antonopoulos says another person from an adjacent house has been treated for minor hand injuries.Toronto fire Capt. Adrian Ratushniak says there is a natural gas leak in the area and the street has been closed to traffic.Firefighters are combing through the debris as they search for people who may have been hurt in the explosion.Ratushniak says at least four houses have been damaged and the Ontario Fire Marshal is en route to begin investigating.
