Golf course crash leaves Mississauga man with life-threatening injury

A serious crash involving a golf cart has left a Mississauga man with a life-threatening injury and police are still trying to determine exactly what happened.

On Monday afternoon, emergency responders were called to a golf course in Caledon, Ont., to respond to the crash.

An OPP news release says that a man operating a golf cart "was descending a steep embankment" when the vehicle hit a wall and ended up causing the driver to be ejected.

The 52-year-old driver ended up being airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

An adult passenger suffered a minor injury in the same crash.
