QUEBEC - An ex-member of the legislature and a reporter will run for the Quebec Liberals in two provincial byelections.
Sebastien Proulx will represent the party in Jean-Talon, while Veronyque Tremblay will try to win in Chauveau.
No dates have been set for the byelections, which will both take place in the Quebec City area.
Jean-Talon has been vacant since Liberal cabinet minister Yves Bolduc quit politics in February, while Chauveau is no longer represented in the national assembly because of Gerard Deltell's decision to seek the federal Conservative nomination in Louis Saint-Laurent.
Proulx was a member of the legislature for the Action democratique du Quebec between 2007 and 2008.
Tremblay worked until recently for a Quebec City radio station and previously was employed by LCN, TVA's all-news network.
