Toronto father Edward Dwyer charged in stabbing death of son

A Toronto man has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his son.

Toronto police were called to a home near Kingsbury Crescent and Kingston Road last Thursday morning.

A 24-year-old man was found suffering from an apparent stab wound at the scene. Police say the victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

On Tuesday, police identified the deceased as Edward Bernard Junior Dwyer.

His 58-year-old father, Edward Dwyer, is the accused. He is due to appear in court on Friday.
