Nepal earthquake: Toronto vigil will honour those lost

Several hundred people are expected to gather in Parkdale on Wednesday night for a candlelight vigil to mourn those killed in the Nepal earthquake.

Monks will lead a special prayer and donations will be gathered for the Canadian Red Cross's relief efforts.

The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Parkdale Collegiate Institute, at Queen Street West and Jameson Avenue.

Leaders from Toronto's Tibetan and Nepalese community are set to speak, along with NDP MPP Cheri DiNovo and Toronto Coun. Gord Perks.
