Lachine non-fatal shooting investigated by police

Montreal police are searching for suspects after a non-fatal shooting in Lachine yesterday evening.

Police said the victim is not co-operating with the police investigation.

Const. Anie Lemieux said a 27-year-old man was shot at about 10 p.m. while walking past the intersection of Provost Street and 9th Avenue. 

Police believe the gunfire came from a passing car, but they're still working to verify that information.

The victim was injured in his hand, he was taken to hospital. 

Police said his life is not in danger.
