A longstanding rivalry between Calgary and Edmonton took a turn into some pretty nasty territory last night, after a Twitter account belonging to the Edmonton Eskimos openly mocked Calgary fans moments after the Flames were ousted from the Stanley Cup playoffs.
"#QuackQuackQuack @calstampeders @NHLFlames," the Eskimos tweeted at the Calgary Flames and Calgary Stampeders Twitter accounts, referencing the overtime loss at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks in game five of the second round series.
Calgary fans were not impressed with the mocking, to say the least. And many Edmonton sports fans were embarrassed by the tweet. Check out some of the reactions:

Really? Like, really? Didn't you guys just get your "City of Champions" sign confiscated? https://t.co/ZiKdLLfe3A— John Smiley (@MisterYYC) May 11, 2015
Classless. Which is exactly why no one outside of Edmonton actually likes any team from Edmonton. https://t.co/1o3UsJDYmB— Juanita Dueck (@juatisask) May 11, 2015

What do you think? Did the tweet cross the line, or was it just a fun bit of sports rivalry?
Meanwhile, Flames fans had nothing but love for their team after the elimination:
