Browsing for barbecues can be daunting if you don't know where to begin. Between portable and electric, propane and natural gas or a fire pit and pizza oven, it's hard to choose an affordable grill that does everything you want while still looking good in your backyard all the time.
In the slideshow below, we look at 15 different grills, smokers and barbecues available for purchase in Canada. Starting as low as $25.64 and climbing up to a whopping $3,000, these appliances range from portable pieces to impressive outdoor kitchens.
Canada's grill expert, Ted Reader, says there are a lot of factors to consider when buying a new grill. "Look at grill companies that have a good reputation and quality grill," he says, adding that while some stores might offer a good price, when you buy a grill you're getting what you pay for.
But if you're on a budget (and only use your grill on occasion), Reader notes a charcoal kettle grill should suffice, since it is easy to fire up and get grilling.
And even in Canada, you can grill all year long if you have the right tools.
"Stainless keeps things hot but does not do as well in high winds and the cold." The sleek-looking grills are perfect for summer weather, Reader explains, whereas ceramic barbecues maintain the heat and hold up all year long outside.
