Will Mars be habitable in our lifetime? Well, NASA might be one step closer to making that happen. It recently announced it will be funding research to see if oxygen can be produced for the Red Planet.

NASA is teaming up with Indiana-based company Techshot Inc. to research a solution that will produce oxygen through microbes, which are extremely small organisms that play a role in the development of ecosystems.
