Off-duty firefighter rescues 1 at 2-alarm fire on Carlton Street

A two-alarm fire has broken out at a home on Carlton Street on Wednesday morning.

Sixty firefighters and 15 trucks have been sent to the scene.

The Toronto Fire Service says an off-duty firefighter rescued a person from the building that is on fire.

Police say Carlton Street is now closed between Parliament and Sherbourne streets, as a result of the fire.
