Vancouver Lightning Puts On A Beautiful Show

Wowza.

Vancouver certainly has a flair for the dramatic.

The popular filming location didn't need any Hollywood stars to stop people in their tracks on Thursday night.

A stunning late-spring sunset soon made way for a ferocious lightning storm, which was captured by many people on social media:

It doesn't really get better than this. #Vancouver

It was unclear if the lightning storm had anything to do with a fire that broke out on the guideway of the SkyTrain Expo line. It led to a communications failure for all trains between Waterfront and Edmonds stations, said TransLink late Thursday night. A bus shuttle was being set up to transport passengers.
