Suspects sought after B.C. shopping mall shooting puts male in hospital

COQUITLAM, B.C. - Police say a shooting outside a Coquitlam, B.C., shopping mall has put a male in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.RCMP Staff Sgt. Hector Lee with the suburban Vancouver detachment says the shooting took place mid-afternoon Friday in a parking lot at Coquitlam Centre.Lee says no bystanders were hurt, the mall remains open, and the suspects fled the scene.Local media is reporting that bullet holes are visible in a black SUV and the shooting took place metres away from a fundraiser being run by the Heart and Stroke Foundation.Shelley Lycan, the foundation’s special events co-ordinator, says she heard about six popping noises, and watched a woman jump out of a black SUV and ask for a bandage for the male.A woman who answered the phone at the mall's administration office declined to comment on the shooting.
