In an Instagram snap, Smith is pictured with his arm around Stenberg, who is now 16. The actress stunned in a metallic halter dress and wore her hair in long braids for the event. She simply captioned the photo, “Here's to high school.”
Stenberg was just 14 years old when she played the character Rue alongside Jennifer Lawrence in “The Hunger Games.” Since then, she’s landed roles in the TV series “Sleepy Hollow” and “Mr. Robinson.”
The teen also made headlines back in April when she schooled the public on the misappropriation of black culture in a moving video. Entitled “Don't Cash Crop on My Cornrows,” Stenberg’s project begged the question: “What would America be like if we loved black people as much as we love black culture?”
Stenberg’s certainly growing up to be a fine young lady and we can't wait to see what she gets up to next!
