FIFA Women's World Cup officials irritated by corruption focus

FIFA officials could not help but show their irritation Thursday at a press conference for the  2015 Women's World Cup when, despite constant calls to focus on the imminent competition, media continued to ask about the unfolding corruption scandal.

As the questions returned again and again to the scandal — and whether the women's competition was tainted by it — the officials began to lose patience, even blaming the media for putting officials on pedestals in order to knock them down.
