Too early to say if audit findings will be part of Duffy trial: lawyer

OTTAWA - Mike Duffy's lawyer says it is too early to say if the auditor general's findings on Senate spending will make their way into his client's case.Michael Ferguson is soon to release a forensic audit of spending in the upper chamber. The top three Senate officials overseeing the audit process are reportedly among those who have been flagged by the review.Duffy lawyer Donald Bayne, says it is unfair that his client did not have access to a new arbitration procedure available to senators whose expenses are questioned.Duffy has pleaded not guilty to 31 charges of fraud, bribery, and breach of trust.Former Conservative MP Garry Lunn is testifying today.
