Former head of Toyota's Canada operations named as Ontario automotive adviser

TORONTO - The former head of Toyota's Canadian operations will chair a new committee that will try to attract more automotive industry investment to Ontario.Ray Tanguay, who recently retired from his role at Toyota Canada, will head the new sub-committee of the Canadian Automotive Partnership Council.His role will involve serving as an adviser to the Ontario and federal governments as well as the automotive industry.Canada has been losing automotive industry investment to Mexico and the southern United States, where labour costs are cheaper.
