J.W. Anderson may have just designed one of the most blatantly sexual fashion magazine covers ever, and it doesn't even involve nudity.
The Irish designer created a limited edition cover wrap for the British glossy, which features a photo of a Swiss army knife, a small picture frame, two pocket watches and a penis. Yes, a penis. It looks to be carved out of wood (heh) but it's a penis, nonetheless.
Now, nudity and sexual imagery in fashion are nothing new, but sex toys on the other hand? We don't see them all that often in the pages of our favourite mags. What does it all mean!? (We wish we knew.) Have a look at the image for yourself -- it's probably pretty NSFW:
Anderson is just one of 11 designers, including Alexander Wang, Karl Lagerfeld, Phoebe Philo and Christopher Kane, asked to create limited edition cover wraps for the mag's 35th anniversary. Aside from the collector's wraps, the issue itself has 18 (!!!) different covers featuring top models like Lara Stone, Anna Ewers, Jourdan Dunn and of course, Kate Moss.
The collector's edition wraps will be available in limited run at Dover Street Market, Colette, 10 Corso Como, SOTO Berlin, Palace and Supreme stores. We can't wait to get our hands on one (or all) of these bad boys!
