Toronto Stock Exchange, Canadian dollar down Thursday morning

TORONTO - Toronto Stock Exchange and the Canadian dollar were down Thursday morning.The S&P/TSX composite index was down 67.46 points at 14,821.58.The loonie traded at 81.25 cents US, down 0.30 of a U.S. cent from Wednesday's close.The Dow Jones industrial average was up 47.68 points at 18,048.08, the Nasdaq index advanced 6.43 points to 5,083.12 and the S&P 500 was up 3.74 points at 2,106.94.On the commodity markets, the July crude contract was down $1.14 at US$60.29 a barrel and the August gold contract fell $8.40 to US$1,178.20 an ounce.
