REGINA - Drew Tate threw a fourth quarter touchdown as the Calgary Stampeders beat the Saskatchewan Roughriders 37-29 Friday night in pre-season action.Tate relieved starter Bo Levi Mitchell to start the second half and found Kamar Jordan with 5:39 remaining in the fourth to give the defending Grey Cup champions a one-point lead.Tate then marched the Stampeders down the field with backup quarterback Bryant Moniz plunging in from one-yard out with 36 seconds remaining for a touchdown.Darian Durant proved his health in front of a home crowd for the first time since season-ending elbow injury in last September.Durant shone in an extended final tune-up and looked every bit like the franchise player he's expected to be this season. The Riders' quarterback completed 14-of-21 pass attempts for 146 yards and one touchdown while also throwing an interception. He found Chris Getzlaf for an 11-yard touchdown on Saskatchewan's second offensive possession.Third-string quarterback Brett Smith added a one-yard touchdown run and Chris Milo booted a pair of field goals to give the Riders a 19-13 lead at halftime.Glenn, who was signed by Saskatchewan in the off-season, threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Alex Carroll for a 26-16 lead late in the third quarter.Moniz scored Calgary's lone first-half touchdown, his first of three in the game. A 74-yard kickoff return by Sederrick Cunningham set up Moniz's first score.Rene Paredes kicked two field goals for Calgary.Mitchell completed 8-of-14 pass attempts for 108 yards and one interception. Jon Cornish rushed eight times for 38 yards.Calgary wrapped up the pre-season at 2-0, while Saskatchewan finished 0-2.Calgary will kick off the regular season at home on June 26 versus the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The next Saskatchewan hosts the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
