Canada's Women's World Cup team faces a tough test on Saturday.
The squad has advanced to the quarter-final game against England, and the two have history. Canada defeated England in a friendly prior to the tournament, and also took down Great Britain at home in the 2012 Olympics.
As they kick off once more, Canada's players take heart in one thing: they have some of the country's biggest names cheering them on from the sidelines, and on social media. While we may be better known as a hockey (or even a curling) nation, these famous faces show there's always room in our patriotic hearts for one more sport.
Here are 13 famous Canadians who have jumped on the soccer bandwagon for the 2015 Women's World Cup:
Shania Twain, Musician
Kaillie Humphries, Bobsledder
Gerry Dee, Actor

Ryan Reynolds, Actor
