Darian Durant, Roughriders QB, injured in opener

Darian Durant who missed a key portion of last year's season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders was forced to leave the Blue Bombers-Roughriders game Saturday with an apparent leg injury.

Durant came up limping after a passing attempt in the second quarter. He seemed to favour his leg and knelt down before the Roughrider medical team came out onto the field. He was taken to the dressing room and there was no immediate report on his condition. He later returned to the field using crutches.

Durant, 32, led the Roughriders to the Grey Cup title in 2013 but was injured midway through last season. Though he returned for the playoffs he wasn't able to help them defend the title.
