Montreal North hit-and-run suspect turns himself in

A 69-year-old man turned himself in to police in relation to a hit and run that killed a woman in Montreal North last week.

Officers earlier this week issued an appeal asking the public to help them find a vehicle involved in the fatal incident.

The man turned himself in shortly thereafter.

A 64-year-old woman was killed in the incident that occurred the night of July 4. She was struck by a car while walking along Henri-Bourassa Boulevard near Balzac Avenue.

The driver then took off, leaving the scene.

A second car also hit the woman. The driver of that vehicle remained at the scene.

Montreal police are still investigating.
