FREDERICTON — New Brunswickers will be paying more for driver's licences and vehicle registrations starting Sept. 1.
Public Safety Minister Stephen Horseman has tabled a document with the provincial legislature that details the changes that are expected to generate more than $8 million in extra revenue.
A driver's licence will cost $22.50, up from $21.
Registration of a private passenger vehicle, family motor coach or antique vehicle currently ranges from $18 to $177, but after Sept. 1 the new range will be $19 to $189.
Registration for motorcycles, commercial vehicles and farm vehicles will also rise.
