Quebec police find body of man they believe fatally shot two people

MARIEVILLE, Que. - Quebec provincial police say they have found the body of the man they believe shot two people to death in a scrapyard.

Spokesman Claude Denis says a corpse found in a car is likely that of 59-year-old Daniel Masse.

Police say a citizen told them about the vehicle, which matched an earlier description of a car belonging to Masse.

They still don't know the connection between Masse and the victims.

The shooting occurred Wednesday evening in Marieville, about 45 kilometres east of Montreal.

Masse was also wanted on two counts of attempted murder in connection with the shooting.

One person who was wounded is out of danger, while the other charge of attempted murder was related to someone who was not injured.
