A Sun Protection Checklist To Watch Before You Walk Out The Door

It's not just about your arms, legs and back.

You got your back, your arms and your legs, but what about the other parts of your body that need sun protection?

In the video above by Birchbox, we discover the seven spots most people forget to apply sunscreen to, and the products that can save these areas from getting burned. From your scalp to your ears and even your eyes, every bit of your body can — and should — be protected from the sun.

According to the Canadian Cancer Society, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in Canada and it can be prevented.

Experts warn against exposure to the sun between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. when damaging UV rays are at their peak. The Canadian Dermatology Association also stresses the importance of protecting your skin with sun protective clothing and sunscreen labeled SPF 30 or higher.

We know putting on sticky sunscreen might seem like an inconvenience on a hot summer's day, but there are plenty of great products out there that go on like your everyday lotions — so no excuses!
