Ryan Kesler, Ducks centre, signs 6-year contract extension

Ryan Kesler and the Anaheim Ducks agreed to a six-year, $41.25 million US contract extension on Wednesday that runs through the 2021-22 season.

The 30 year old has one year remaining on his current deal.

Kesler scored 20 goals and tallied 27 assists in 81 regular season games for the Ducks in 2014-15. He added another seven goals and six assists in 16 playoff games. Anaheim was eliminated by the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference final. 

Over 11 seasons, Kesler has played 736 games, with totals of 202 goals and 238 assists.
