Toronto Community Housing report coming today

A mayor's task force is expected to release an interim report this morning about the huge backlog of repairs for Toronto Community Housing buildings.

Mayor John Tory asked Senator Art Eggleton to head up the six-person panel that is looking into the $2-billion backlog as well as improvements to services and safety.

More than 50,000 people live in the housing provider's 2,200 buildings.

Tory will speak to the media about the interim report later this morning.
