Isabelle Richer out of hospital after bike accident

Isabelle Richer, a well-known Radio-Canada journalist, has been discharged from the hospital more than two weeks after a serious cycling accident.

Richer was transferred to a rehabilitation centre on Thursday where she will continue her recovery.

The veteran legal affairs reporter was hit by a truck while cycling in Rougemont, Que., in late June, leaving her with head trauma and upper spine fractures.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Richer's sister says her condition continues to improve and her morale is high despite the challenges ahead.

Richer was recently named as the new co-host of Radio-Canada's Enquête program, though it's unclear when she will be able to return to work.
