Queen Elizabeth Drives On Grass To Get To Mass

The Queen was apparently in a rush to get to church.

It looks like Prince Philip isn't the only impatient royal.

A week after the 94-year-old prince was caught on camera telling a photographer to "just take the f-ing picture", his wife — the reigning Queen of England — was caught swerving her car onto the grass and around a family walking through Windsor Great Park.

The 89-year-old Queen was on her way to church, the Independent reports. And yes, she was driving the car herself.

The young family was more surprised than startled. Scarlett Vincent and Toby Core told the Daily Mail that they were wandering in a world of their own with their 11-month-old son when the Queen maneuvered around them.

"I pointed at the car and she just smiled at us and waved," Ms. Vincent said of her encounter with the British Monarch.

Sunday's spotting was the first public sighting of the Queen since controversial childhood photos of her were released by Britain's The Sun newspaper, People magazine reports. Over the weekend a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace addressed the images in the following statement: "It is disappointing that a film, shot eight decades ago and apparently from HM's personal family archive, has been obtained and exploited in this manner.”
