Julyuary hits N.L. with a vengeance, but province takes it in stride

What do Snuggies, wood stoves and overall sadness have in common? Summer in Newfoundland and Labrador.

As CBC meteorologist Ryan Snoddon said on Monday: "July of 2015 is slowly and steadily inching closer to becoming one for the record books … for all the wrong reasons."

If you're an optimistic, you can thank your lucky stars that we're all in this together — from Nain, where it's currently hovering around the 4 C mark to Stephenville, where residents are enjoying a much warmer 13 C.

The temperature is cold, but tempers are hot as July passes Newfoundland and Labrador by with very few summer-like days. Don't shoot the messenger!

Even the whales are over this weather.

You should always search for the silver lining, like these guys.

Or not.

It's all bad enough, but Walmart's selection of back to school supplies may just tip us over the edge. Summer is almost over before it even began. August to the rescue!
