Poolhall stabbing suspects shown on surveillance video

Police are searching for a group of men they say were involved in a melee outside of a pool hall last June that resulted in one man being stabbed.

At approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, a group of friends stepped out of a pool hall in the Warden Avenue and Ellesmere Road area. Once on the sidewalk, they got into an altercation with a second group, police say, and the dispute became violent.

One man was pepper-sprayed and another man was stabbed in the back, police allege, and the perpetrators were from the second group. They fled in a white vehicle and a light-coloured vehicle.

Police are calling men from the second group suspects in an attempted murder investigation. They are described by police as follows:

- A brown man with short black hair, a beard, and a tattoo on his left inside forearm, wearing a blue jacket with a white symbol on the rear.

- A skinny brown man with short black hair and a beard, wearing a blue Adidas jacket with white stripes on the sleeves and light-blue jeans.

- A heavy brown man with black hair, a beard, and tattoos on both forearms, wearing a khaki hoodie and khaki pants.

Police consider the men armed and dangerous, and warn anyone who sees them not to approach but call 911 immediately.

A surveillance video of the men entering a building was released on Tuesday.
