Toronto police said the shooting took place just before 8 p.m. in the Coxwell and Danforth Avenues area,
Paramedics and police quickly organized an emergency run to rush a victim to hospital,
The extent of the person's injuries are unclear at this time.
Danforth Avenue has been closed from Coxwell to Woodbine as police investigate.
