One of the biggest things to get excited about when it comes to Drake's annual OVO Fest in Toronto — and there are many, many things to get excited about — is who exactly the surprise guests will turn out to be.
And this year, the hometown hero did not disappoint in the least, starting his set with more swipes at Meek Mills via every meme about the beef, including this oh-so-Toronto image:
And then, the clincher: bringing out none other than Kanye West, he of the recent controversial Pan Am closing ceremonies appearance, and mic drop, and apparently, good-natured photo ops.
As one of our editors put it:
And though it was his second time showing up at OVO Fest (he came in 2013 as well), it looked like Toronto was more than happy to see him again:
After Kanye performed a full set of seven songs, including "Stronger," "All Day," "Ni**as in Paris" and "I Don't Like," he in turn brought out hip hop star Travis Scott and performed alongside him:
And then, having spent almost 40 minutes onstage, Drake paid him some serious respect:
